Auermetall Pocket Striker Lighter

c. 1910 This lighter was produced in the pocket model shown as well as a wall model and a table model. While the lighter sports a patent of November 27, 1906 the lighter itself was likely not patented - it used the U.S. patent for Carl Auer von Welsbach's Auer Metal (flint material). This lighter very closely resembles the TCW striker lighter, which, it seems, was made later.
