Navigare Necesse Est - Authentic Models

Authentic Models WWI Army & Navy Lighter

These lighters with a mermaid-like insignia on them were put out in the 1990s as a replica - though the packaging stretched the point a bit: "The legendary Trench-ighter. Fashioned out of spent bullet casings, By the Men on the battlefields of W.W.I. A faithful replica. Solid brass. Rugged. Dependable. A true classic." Some boxes are marked "Authentic Models - Holland"

More InfoNimrod

Nimrod Pipe Lighter

From 1946 through the 1960s. Since the style never changed much and there is little record of those changes, it is nearly impossible to date these unless one is found with "Patent Pending" on it - since the patent wasn't issued the lighter would be dated pre-December, 1946.

Nordad Aluminum Block Lighter

This company went a bit overboard on drilling holes in this uniquely shaped lighter. There are 2 holes for filling in the bottom and one on the front - and it has a spare flint capsule on it - something seldom seen in aluminum block lighters. c. late 1940s - early 1950s
