General Pocket Lighters

Very Old Wheel Ligher

c. 1915 This lighter uese a patent granted in 1912. All sorts of lighters used this patent - including lift arm lighters - and many, if not most, of the lighters using the patent did not even resemble the drawings in the patent; this ia a case in point. The finish as help up really well - as it should as it is marked E.P.N.S. (electro plated nickel silver) and the plating is probably all gone, but the base nickel silver looks great! The lighter is marked P&B - possibly a manufacturer.

Very Old Wheel Ligher

Unbranded Cast Metal Lighter

While this greatly resembles the frequently seen aluminum block lighters, this is a cast metal lighter - probably a 'pot metal' of some sort. Very compact at only 1.125" square.

Dual Flint Aluminum Lighter

More InfoPost WW2 - made in Austria w/ U. S. Army occupation forces insignia. The snuffer cap for this example is missing. This is very similar to models made in Great Britain that had holes rather than slots for air passage to the fire chamber. Another similar lighter, the Tandem, was made in Poland.
