RESOLUTI0N

WHEREAS, the Sabine County Commissioners Court recognizes the importance of the tourism industry to the economy of the county; and

WHEREAS, when Toledo Bend Lake drops below the 168 foot level the tourism value of the lake is greatly diminished; and

WHEREAS, the businesses on the lake depend on the ability to launch boats to attract customers; and

WHEREAS, many county residents live in subdivision along the lake that were developed for recreational purposes and these homes and lots lose value when the lake is very low;

NOW THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED that the Commissioners Court of Sabine County urge the Sabine River Authority to maintain the Toledo Bend lake level at 168 feet or above.

This resolution passes and adopted on this 10th day of August, 1998
