It was good seeing you last week in Pineville, and I hope that some of the rain we had these past few days found its way to Toledo Bend.
I am writing you today in an effort to keep you informed regarding the Toledo Bend Reservoir situation. On Friday, August 7, 1998, representatives from both the Texas and Louisiana Sabine River Authorities, Entergy and Cleco met in Shreveport. As a result of this meeting, we are in the process of exploring the feasibility of various options that may lead to a workable solution.
Please be assured that all parties are committed to finding a solution as quickly as possible. The same parties mentioned above will be meeting again next week and I will update you on our progress shortly thereafter.
