Dear Dr. Ditton:
The Toledo Bend Bi-State Alliance was formed by and consists of civic & citizen groups, marina and property owner associations, a bass club, three chambers of commerce etc. from both Texas and Louisiana. Our goal is the development of Toledo Bend Reservoir as a recreational resource of both states, and the economical development of the surrounding areas.
We believe the Fisheries Study of Toledo Bend, which your organization has been commissioned by The Toledo Bend Project Joint Operations Board to conduct, will further our goal.
This Alliance and our member organizations stand ready to assist you in any way possible, in the conduct of your study. We will gladly work with the survey completion process at marinas and boat launches, we will ask our individual members to complete questionnaires etc. whatever we can do to assist and make your study a success we are prepared to do.
Gerald Whitting, Louisiana Toledo Bend Lake Association (318) 256-9983 and Loretta Sterle, Sabine County Chamber of Commerce (409) 787-2732 will serve as the contacts for our Alliance.
