Toledo Bend Bi- State Alliance

The meeting was called to order by Maurice Patterson.
Maurice thanked everyone who participated in distributing the weevils to all areas of Toledo Bend. 175 bags of weevils were collected and disbursed. He estimated 1/3 million were distributed. An appreciation party was given by Bi-State Alliance to celebrate the endeavor.
We need to get more weevils and some poisonous spray. Louisiana doesn't have anymore. Maurice is going to contact Howard Elder for help in getting this. SRA of will allow Parks & Wildlife to buy $2,000. for the spray. Individuals can buy some for $120. or $140. a gallon. Jana has the recipe.
The Board approved donating $300. to the Library for the use of the library. Maurice asked if that was okay with the members. The motion was moved, seconded, and carried to accept giving the donation.
We have a booth at Milam Settler's Day on November 20th and 21st . There will be brochures to distribute and a weevil puppet show headed up by Vicky Ostrum. Volunteers are needed to help man the booth. This is to get our message out to the people.
Motion was made that the meeting be adjourned. It was seconded and accepted.
