DETDA report
El Camino real has been designated as a historic trail. A new power plant is to be constructed in Northwest Nacogdoches County. The 200MW plant is to be completed in 2004.

Region I water planning report
The major activity this period will be the identification of pipelines in Texas which could be used to transport water from one region to another. Bill Heugel has been appointed to the planning board as a voting member. The final report prepared by the state has a reduced number of reservoir sites. While dams would not necessarily be constructed on these sites they would have been reserved for that purpose. The chairman has requested that those sites removed should be given another designation which would reserve them for future needs for other areas of the state.

The National Wild Life Federation had requested that the TBBSA send a letter supporting no drilling in the Alaska National Wild Life Refuge: Larry Kelly responded to the request by stating that there was insufficient time to obtain responses to the request from the member organizations.

Nominating Committee
The nominating committee had only two names, Larry Kelly for LA Co-chair and Jana Lehman for Treasurer. It was agreed that they would continue pursuit of persons to fill the Texas Co-chair and the Secretary position. In the mean time the present individuals will continue in those positions.

A motion was made seconded and approved to elect Larry Kelly and Jana Lehman and continue the pursuit of replacements for the other positions.

A discussion was conducted on the need to have state senators from both LA and TX attend a TBBSA meeting.

The next meeting of the Lake level Stakeholders will be in Beaumont on 29 November.

The next meeting of the TX SRA will be in Lufkin on Dec 7.

A motion was made seconded and approved to continue the TBBSA membership in the DETDA. The cost for this will be $110.00.

A discussion of the decals was conducted. It was finally decided to look into getting hats. A motion was made seconded and passed that Jana be authorized to spend $50 for the initial set up for the hats.

Payment of an outstanding postage bill of $13.00 was approved

Dues are to be paid Jan 2, 2002 for each organization.

The next meeting of the TBBSA will be Jan 28, 2002.
