Message: Didn’t catch any lunkers this weekend but a couple knotheads gobbled my western minnow. Ran into a couple of good ole boys from Baton Rouge deep in the buckbrush scootin around with a go-devil. They had a mess of grass carp and had been fishing since sun up. Said they were catchin em on doughball baited trotlines. The redheaded boy was gobbling sausage and the floorboard full of Old Milwaukie’s Best and fish. After they were done screwin arount till dark, I watched em battling waves across the bend to Texas with smoke bellowin out like a locomotive. It was a site to see.

Message: got back yesterday from a 4 day trip to mid lake. Caught 50+ fish. Most productive bait was a chrome, blue back rogue fished 6 inches deep without letting it come to the surface. Lost some big fish with the small hooks but changing the hooks screwed up the action. GOOD LUCK.
