Message: A buddy and I caught 36 bass Tues., 2/2/12, in 2' to 5' of water, mid lake. Fish would bite whatever you threw but best results came on watermelon red sinkos, baby brush hogs, and swimming rogues just under the surface. Also caught 2 white perch on rogues in three feet of water and both were close to 2 lbs so they are really getting shallow. water temp was 62 degrees

Message: Finally ..The lake has came up enough to park my boat behind the lake house. It was a gorgeous weekend on the lake. Caught a few fish, (Not as many as I would have liked) but worth putting the boat in. Wife & Grandsons had a good time fishing and went home with alot of good memorys. Fish are starting to move shallow. Most fish were in that 5-10 depth and finding good grass was the key.
Watermellon-Red Baby Brushogs with a 1/4 oz. weight caught the most fish. Will try again next weekend if weather holds. In God We Trust.

Message: Had a wild and windy day, Saturday (11/19/11). Put in at Cypress Bend..Just could not stay on the open lake and finally gave in and looked for coves with shelter from the wind..(ha ha)..we caught 12 or so under 14 and 2 over 14..mostly on texas rig plastics (worms, critters, lizard)..2 on crank bait...7 to 8 feet..with visible wood..left the lake at 1:30..started at 7:30.

Message: Mid Lake,Lets talk about mid lake store.My daughter broke down there 2 weeks ago,and she had her 2 yound kids with her.she had no cell service. she ask them if she could use there phone and they told her no.they told her they couldnt help her.Why not dont we help them every time we buy gas,water,and drinks from there? when did we start leaving ladys and kids on the road broke down? Asimple phone call for her parents to go get her.So she got in her car and limped down the road just north to a oil change place.He was nice and let her call us,he also but her car on the computer and gave her the codes .He gave her the name of a machanic.My husband went and got her.and gave her my truck so she could go home to Granbury,tx. thanks to the man that helped her.he will get my bussness and hope others will visit him to.But i will never again stop and spend my money at mid lake and hope other fill the same.why help them make money if they cant help there customers.and she stops there all the time to buy drinks and snack for the kids ride back home.never again.Country people help each other.we dont leave ladys and kids on the sid of the road.

Message: Fished this entire weekend from 6am till about 3pm and caught 10 fish per day. I hit good solid 3 and 4 lb fish great for tournament fishing. I caught on spinnerbaits, zaraspooks In the grass holding tight to timber. Then later in the day i moved out to a hump in 20 feet of water and hammered good solid fish on a DD22 norman shad colored lure. It was a great day. I watched a guy catch an 8lb bass on a fluke in the grass on Saturday. The fishing is great on Toledo Bend.

Message: As of 9/30/2011 The Lake is so low..BUT the fish are biting!..Friend of mine and I caught well over 50 BASS this past Friday..Watermelon Blk..Ultravibe on main lake points..did the trick..WINDY..so I had to anchor off the point..I just sat there all day catching fish after fish...Nice!!

Message: I have been working in the area for a few months now and fish as often as I can. I have found that with the heat, early in the morning and late in the evening, using Baby Brush Hogs (watermelon candy), has produced a wide range of action from small spotted bas to 4 to 5 pound range of good black bass in 2 to 8 feet of water. One thing is for sure, the action is fast until it gets hot (around 9 or so). I have been catching limits of fish on a regular basis! Good Luck!

Message: Fished the Texas side on the south end of the lake, just south of Housen Bay from 5/27-5/30. Caught 10-12 nice bass each day on Zarra Spooks in early morning and late afternoon, on top of the grass near the banks. When it began to warm up we switched to watermelon/red brush hogs and Zoom speed craw. Fished from daybreak till about 9:00, and again from 6:30 p.m. till dark.

Message: Fishing was good today, bass were biting on several patterns. Caught bass from 2 to 12 Ft. Carolina rig caught most of the fish, used Mardi Gras, Watermelon Red Magic, Watermelon Red, and Watermelon Candy superflukes. Wacky worm with 1/32 bullet weight above hook in same colors and Superfluke JR. Texas rigged no weight. I Caught over 20 bass with 8 solid keeper fish all were released alive and well. Find the grass and you will find the fish. Take care and keep a tight line.

Message: went out saturday and sunday and caught alot of bass in the lowes creek area and indian mounds with most coming on traps and jerk baits but the few bigger bites comind in the morning on large spooks and chug bugs around grass...
