Message: Fished Slaughter Creek & Cypress Bend Area on 3/28 & 3/29. Lots of empty beds. Caught about 15/day with 8-9 keepers each day. Largest was about 5lbs. Water temp got up 63-64 degrees. Mornings were definitely better than afternoons. By far, the most productive lure was the Zoom Speed Craw in watermelon candy & watermelon candy/red with a 3/16th slip sinker.

Message: I fished with a buddy on Tuesday March 19, 2013. We fished north of Pendleton Bridge in 2-6 feet of water and caught some nice quality fish 2-4 pounds on square bill crankbaits over grass. At 11:40 my buddy blew both our minds when he brought in a 12.11 lunker.
Went back to the "big fish" hole on Friday March, 22,2013 and the wind just blew us off our area. We fished for an hour or so but with no luck. To hide from the wind we pulled into the south shore of Patroon and found several males on beds. I ended up catching 11 fish from 12 inches to 2 pounds on a chatterbait. Anywhere I could see clear bottom between the shore and the grass, the fish were there and jumped all over the chatterbait.
