Message: Well seeing that no one has reported in a month or so I figure what the heck, I don't have any tournaments coming up. One other thing before I start, I am thinking of starting a guide service on Toledo and am wondering what everyone feels is a fair price to charge. I know that I would have to cover my expenses and such so it would have to start at $200 but I cannot see myself charging $400 a trip to go fishing. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Basfisher2@yahoo.com is my email. Anyway, back to the report. I fished a few tournaments in the south lake area the past month and have found great success with a 1/2 ounce Red eye shad in Sexy shad pattern. I have concentrating on the grass lines in 4-7ft of water with deep water nearby. Once I make a pass and catch a few I will turn around and make another pass with some sort of Crawfish pattern trap. You will be surprised how many more fish your can catch from the same area just with a different color. Once that bite slows I like to pass though an area with large Spinnerbait or swim bait. YUM Money Minnows seem to work the best for me. I have found lots of fish willing to bite in sandy creek, 6 mile creek, and mill creek areas. Good luck and Set the Hook HARD!!!
