Message: Heading back to Louisiana Next week for a High School Reunion. Can’t wait to get back to see everyone and especially excited about getting back to the Bend! I used to love going fishing with my best friend Nesser. We would take a sack of corn out and grind it and mill it up right there on the boat and use it to chum the Big Opp catfish! They call them piper fish up here.. I remember wrestling those big cats in the boat and giving them a big sloppy kiss right before I clubbed em in the head and threw em in the boat..To much fun! Anyway.. Hope the weather holds out. See ya next week Louisiana!

Message: My podnuh and I are headn up there next week for Bass. Any tips for mid-lake would be helpful. Stayin away from Blue-Lake ever since we ran into a guy who drove his truck out into the water to fish. He got out with a beer and a pole. We went to check on him and he tried to jump in the boat with us wanting to make the sequel to Deliverance ! I got the boat cranked while partner was working him over with paddle. Bet we ramped 5 or 6 stumps flying outta there !

Message: I fished sunday and had 30 fish between 14 and 18 inches the largest might have weighed 3 pounds but most solid 2 to 2.5 lbs. Caught them in the hickory ridge area on spinnerbaits in 2 to 6 feet of water the fish were stacked on windy points especially if they had good grass

Message: Went to Toledo this past weekend and pretty good trip. Didn't start fishing until about 11 each day but managed to catch 11 keepers one 5.7 four more over 4 lbs the rest in the 3 to 4 lb range. When I found grass the bite was good. Caught them all on a 1/2 oz football head jig in camo color with a watermelon candy trailer in 3 to 6 ft of water.
