Message: The summer patterns are starting to produce. Find the baitfish on your electronics and you will find the bass. Last weekend was awesome as we caught and released nearly 100 fish up to 4 lbs.!

Message: The bass were biting pretty good on Friday. I found one massive school in 35 foot and stayed there for over 4 hours. The bait of chice was a silver spoon. for the first hour I don't think the spoon ever hit the bottom. After every four or five I would throw a jig and pick up a few better fish. Had 4 big fish out of the school. One 4 two 5 and broke of a double digit fish at the boat. My suggestion to everyone: replace the hook and split ring on every spoon. I had three fish twist loose. I installed a barrel swivel and the hook ups were better. The only downfall with the swivel is that the weight of the spoon dosn't pull the hook out if it gets snagged. Remember your wife wont complain about you fishing if you take her with you.

Cheers

Message: AS I check the lake level everyday, I sit back and watch the lake fall and both generators continue to suck the water we prayed for for almost 2 yrs. out. I feel sorry for all the property owners and landing that struggle with water levels to make a living. I fish toledo bend several times a week and it aggravates me to see the water go. As I visit toledo bend country everyday, I am glad to see the fisherman spending money helping the merchants stay alive in this never ending battle with the SRA. Hang in there we will make it.
