Thanks to the US Geological Survey, we are now getting the lake level for the last 15 days to show, so people can see how it's changing better. We are also working on making the current level available through SRA Texas - though today there seems to be a little problem with the servers. We won't have CURRENT GENERATING SCHEDULES unless SRA Louisiana decides to cooperate... But at least other government agencies feel their information is for the use of the public.

Message: In reference to the sra louisiana,it looks like they want to generate the lake level down and not have a trackable measurement.

If you are interested in the current lake level and generating schedule for Toledo Bend Lake, please read on and TAKE ACTION!

SRA Louisiana has decided to no longer furnish this information to anyone other than their own website.

I will be trying to get them to again make this information public so other websites can automatically obtain it. For 10 years this information has been public and obtainable programatically from one website to another. This began with SRA Texas. Some time ago SRA Louisiana took over posting the information and we obtained it directly from their posts. This policy continued until July 1, 2009. I was notified on June 30, 2009 that they would no longer be using me to do their website and they would have their own in-house personnel doing it. Along with this was the discontinuation of the Calendar Of Events (which was inconsistently delivered anyway) and the entry of the lake level information (which was done daily). After a conversation they decided to continue it "indefinitely". As it turns out, "indefinitely" ended on July 6, 2009.

I will be working to do what I can. Meanwhile, I suggest you contact SRA Texas and or Louisiana to complain about this and even any board members you know of on your side of the lake.

In my opinion this is a very bad arbitrary decision by SRA Louisiana and is without regard to the public safety or to the convenience of the public in obtaining this information. And the decision was made without warning or notice to anyone, so far as I'm aware.
