Message: planning a trip to Toledo Bend for crappie fishing. Just wondering if the baitfish and crappie are balled up in the deep holes of the "chicken coop". I would appreciate any info/help before the long commute.

Message: Went to the lake the day after Thanksgiving and caught a few yellow bass and largemouth in about 30ft. water while jigging a spoon. We let the spoons hit the bottom, then "flop" them on the bottom.

Message: Hit the lake on the 14th of November. My partner and I caught 10 fish between the two of us. Baby bass crankbait worked the best. Mostly on the back corner of docks in Indian Creek. A couple caught on brush hog w/ 3/4 oz weight.

Message: The area behind the Dam was flooded completely. The sheriffs office was out there chasing off on-lookers and fishermen at the spillway to include myself and some buddies. We were thinking that Spillway open + fall weather = Stripers. The danger level must have been too high and there was no where to park. No problem really as the public park up the road from the Dam on the Texas side had some nice little bass and big bluegill caught on a small Strike King chartreuse spinnerbait. Fun day even if it didn't go according to plan.
