June 17, 2000, Jackson Hill Marina, Lake Sam Rayburn, TX.

Fathers Day weekend may have kept the entries down for this "stormy" weekend tournament, but the enthusiasm for the 40 teamed anglers were kept at high levels as they managed to raise $1,000 for the needs of Houston's Texas Children's Hospital.

"This is one of our benefit tournaments that we operate within our normal Southeast Texas B.A.S.S. Federation circuit, explained director, David Walton, telling that they managed to draw enough angler participation to raise some very important funds for the needs of the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. "These are a great bunch of fellows who donated their holiday time to help us out, praised Walton, "and I'm sure that the kids at the Texas Children's Hospital will appreciate it.
