Local Anglers with 13.19 lbs Wins the Angler's Choice Tournament on Lake Livingston

Waterwood Marina...lake Livingston, TX Cloudy skies with moderate temperatures and muddy water conditions welcomed the anglers that came out to fish the Angler's Choice Team Tournament on Lake Livingston. The weather conditions was a little different for these anglers as they are normally greeted with hot and humid conditions during this time of the fishing season. Just before the weigh in time approached, the skies opened up and the rain came down hard with lighting through out the skies that made the water conditions even tougher. When all was said and done, two local anglers came out on top who are no strangers to Lake Livingston. 1st place team 5 bass 13.19 lbs $1500...Todd Castledine and Eddie Elisor both from Coldspring, TX spent their day fishing down south in a Stealth/Yamaha bass rig fishing with Allstar rods and Shimano reels spooled with 15 lb test Berkley Big Game to work chartreuse crank baits in about 2-8 feet of water. This duo also had the big bass of the day weighing in at 3.46 which put and extra $220 in their pocket. 2nd place team 5 bass 12.85 lbs $525.00.........Father and son duo Chip and Brian Sewell from Coldsprings fished mainly down around the south end of the lake in their Cobra/Mercury bas rig using American Rod Smith spooled with 17 lb Silver thread line to work plastic worms that were june bug color in about 5-6 feet of water . This duo stated that they concentrated mainly on shallow waters , stumps and boat docks 3rd place team 5 bass 11.22 lbs $335.00.....Rick Scott from Bremond, TX and Roy Ellisor from Hearn, TX fished way up on the north end of the lake in their Ranger/Mercury bas rig using St. Criox rods and Shimano reels spooled with 20 lb P-Line using Salt Crawl worms--Blue and Black worms. Scott stated that they fished in about 2-4 feet of water focusing on stumps and had their limit around 10:30 that morning. Angler's choice would like to thank Waterwood Resort and Marina for all of their hard work and help this weekend as well as all of their sponsor who make the tournament circuit possible. There was a 100% release of all tournament fished that were weighed in.
