5 Bass/17.91 lbs Takes Anglers Quest Super Team
By Ed Snyder

Anglers Quest 2002 Super-Team Series
Sunday, November 18, 2002, Alpine Marina, Lake Toledo Bend, TX.

With the early morning launch locked in by a thick blanket of fog, the fifty Super-Team anglers couldn't be "safely" eased-out onto the seven foot low lake waters of Toledo Bend until after 8am, initiating the tournament director to change the normal 3:pm deadline to a 5:pm weigh-in. Thus allowing for a much later bite bonus bonanza that very well could intimidate the leader-board with some heavy marks. And after the first teams began to arrive to tally their foggy-day late start, it quickly became obvious that the late weigh-in ruling became the winning key for the 5 bass/17.91 -lb winning catch of Dicky Newberry and John Gunnels for winning this Super-Team event.

Welcome to the Anglers Quest 2002 tournament series, stated tournament director Bill Long, Anglers Quest is entering its 5th season of Tournament events and we are pleased to say that we have enjoyed every one of them. And for our 2002 Anglers Quest circuit we'll be hosting 82 Tournaments this season, which will include 5 Championships, and exciting Calcutta Auctions, along with our big bass pot auctions. Our Pro-Am Series for 2002 will hold its Pro-Am Championship on Lake Livingston, TX.
