Fisher's of Men National Tournament Tour -East Texas Division-
Saturday, June 15, 2002, Cypress Bend Resort, Lake Toledo Bend, LA.

"And the Lord Said, "Follow Me and I will make you Fishers of Men" MATT: 19- Heeding the call, thirty two Fishers of Men teams launched into late season cold-front fishing conditions with most teams coming back with meager "blue-bird" weigh-ins. Complaints of problems with catching keeper bass were nullified however after reps for the 1st Assembly of God Church in Lufkin, TX, and Ozia's Missionary Baptist Church of Huntington TX, arrived with no complaints after managing to cull through10 limits of keeper bass from an all day bite to reach their 5 bass/19.81 lb first place team-catch.

The East Texas Fishers of Men fished their seasons final team event at Cypress Bend Resort on Lake Toledo Bend, where 25 teams qualified to represent their Division at one of four Regional Championships for over $35,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, which includes a 2002 Triton TR-185/150 Mercury Bass boat. The points Champions from each Division will be joined by the top 7 finishers from the Regional Championship events, with the highest placing team from each division in the Regional Championship Tournaments, as well as the defending National Champions to make up the 101 boat field for the NO ENTRY FEE 2002 Fishers of Men National Championship Tournament, where, the top 20 National teams will earn their share of $45,000 in cash and prizes, including a fully rigged 2002 Triton TR-20 bass boat with a 200 HP Mercury Motor.
