(Sep. 04, 2004 - Lake Livingston, Onalaska, TX)... Anglers Quest 2004 Twin Lake Saturday Series #17 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 62 Teamed anglers showing up to fish for the GUARANTEED cash purse of $2295.00. The event began at safe light, which was 6:30 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2005 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Championship in November. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to fish for, for a very small entry fee of $100.00 per team.

Lake Livingston water was in very decent shape at about normal pool level, with the temps running in the mid 80s. The weather at take-off was a calm and very nice 72 degrees with a warming to 91 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was good on Livingston today as 14 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 108 bass at 265.41 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.45 lb.

The Husband & Wife team of Chuck & Mary Perkins from Onalaska, Tx ran their BassCat/Mercury bass rig to Kickapoo & Sandy creek areas to catch their limit of 5 bass casting Norman deep baby N crank baits to 3-5 ft laydowns to end up with 19.08 lbs and collect the Guaranteed $1000.00 and 1st place. Chuck & Mary also had the 1st Big Bass of the event in their sack, a fine 5.22 lber caught also on a baby N thrown alongside a laydown in 3 ft of water, they collected a total payday worth $1217.00.

Jason Bennett from Oakhurst & James Hammonds from Huntsville, Tx ran Jasons Stealth/Yamaha bass rig to Pennwaugh creek area to cast crank baits to shallow 3-6 ft bass to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 17.76 lbs and collect $450.00 for their day on the lake.

Larry Jenkins & Dale Hill from Livingston, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing from Larrys Cajun/Mercury bass rig and bringing their best 5 bass to the scales that weighed 15.88 lbs on tx rigged craw worms flipped around piers & brush in 2-6 ft water in Kickapoo Creek. They took home $350.00 for their day on the water.

The team of Mark Rouse from LaPorte & Randy Quin from Huffman, Tx ran Randys Champion/Mercury bass rig to North Lake creeks to catch their limit of 5 bass flippin tx rigged soft plastic baits to 1-4 ft brush & piers to tip the scales at 14.84 lbs and also have the 2nd Big Bass, a fine 5.04 lber to finish in 4th place and collect $278.00.

Ron Brooks & Morgan Burton finished in the 1st out of the money spot with 5 bass that tipped the scales at 14.43 lbs. They will receive the 2 gift certificates given to them from Kickapoo Bait & Tackle.
