C.A.S.T. returns to Lake Livingston

C.A.S.T. couples tournament now in its 21th year returns to beautiful Lake Livingston on a sunny mid-70's day. Lakeside marina was the host of this great couple team tournament. 20 teams showed up to fish and enjoy the beautiful day here on our lake.

Johnny and Jolyne George eased their Champion/Mercury around 2' of water in the north-end of the lake to come up with the winning stringer.Using Shakespeare reel spooled with 15lb trilene line with a Kistler rod they tossed blak/white metal-flaked worms to come up with 14.59 lb winning stringer for 1st place and $450.

David and Monica Price took their Ranger/Mercury rig to the south-end of the lake. Unable to catch any keepers untill after 9am they kept throwingtube baits in 2ft of water. It finally paid off. With a stringer of 14.31 lbs they made 2nd place. But also, their 4.44 kickertook big bass of the day. 2nd place won them $280 and the big bass netted them and additional $104.

Brandon and Terra scooted their Stealth/Yamaha rig onto the light-winded lake and Castaway rod/pheluger reellined with 20lb berkley big game they worked craw worms and spinner baits in 1-2' of water to find their 13.59 lb stringer winning them $170.
