Honey Hole Top 6 Championship A Winner
By BILL WEBB

For two days of practice and two days of fishing Honey Hole team anglers made there presence be known. 89 bass clubs with 6 anglers each launched into the cooling water of Lake Livingston and most were finding fish without a problem. The anglers reported catching fish regulary but the sizes were small, many undersized fish were caught.

Campgrounds, motels ,restraunts, and gas stations stayed busy with the friendly anglers that filled our area. The anglers came to Livingston by being the top 6 anglers from each club and the anglers came from all over the state,Abilene,Arlington,Del Rio,Tyler,Marshall,Austin, and many other various places around the state.

With all these anglers jigging, spinning, and worming their lures all over the lake the largest fish caught was 5.44 lb. With the recent cool front and bluebird skys the bite was "tuff". After two days of fishing the team from Marshall,Texas came out on top.The Cast Masters club managed to have a grand total of 55.41 lb of fish to claim 1st place and take home the dough. Not far behind was the Polk County club in third place with a total of 52.10 lbs.

Sponsered by the Trinity Chamber of Commerce and many other local sponsers the tournament created a full four days of business around the lake during a normally slow period so all of the businesses want to happily thank the Trinity Chamber for their work in bringing this tournament to the area.
