The Fruit of the Labors
By Dan Sumner

The importance of the Louisiana/Toledo Bend Lunker Bass Program came into view on April 17 as Frank Glover of Leavenworth, KS, managed to catch and land an 11.20 lb bass which was immediately donated "back" into Lake Toledo Bend. Mr Glover, guided by myself, was fishing in front of the Pendleton Bridge Resort, where 6 other Toledo Lunker bass have been caught over the years, when, making his last cast of the day with his Shimano reel and Fenwick rod, Frank managed to nail his 26" by 20" Lunker Bass on a cotton candy Baby Brush-Hog. Frank Glover was on his annual trip to Toledo with friends, Mr & Mrs Fred Hope, when on their final day of their weeklong fishing trip, Frank managed to catch his bass of a lifetime. "Frank commented, "in 15 minutes I lived a lifetime of fishing, and instead of spending just one week here, "I've changed my plans for staying three weeks.

(Frank Glover, for donating his Toledo Lunker back to the lake, will receive a certificate of merit and a "free" exact replica mount of his trophy bass)
