This month the super bowl of bass fishing ,the 1999 Bass Masters Classic, will be held on July 29 -July 31 in New Orleans. This is the first time the classic has been so close to home. If you are a fishing enthusiast or a outdoor sportsman, the classic is full of things to see and do for the entire family. I attended the 1994 Bass Masters Classic when the late Brian Kerchal , who qualified through the Bass Federation won the Classic, by just barely beating Oklahoma pro Tommy Biffle. This was one of the most memorable sporting events I have ever attended .The excitement at the weigh in and the large crowd of people cheering gave me even more drive in my own Bass competition. It still is a dream and goal of mine that one day I will be in a future Bass Master Classic. There are 45 anglers competing in the classic .There are 25 qualifying from the K-mart top 150, and 15 from the Eastern, Central and Western Invitational, and 5 from the BASS Federation. These anglers will fish out of identically rigged 519VS Ranger Bass boats. All of the boats are powered by 225 HP Mercury Optimax engines, plus top of the line Tour Edition Motor Guide trolling motor and AC Delco Batteries.

On the last day at the final weigh-in you can win a 519 VS Ranger just like the one the pros use .You must register at the Classic Outdoor show and must be 18 years of age to win.
