Tournament Of Champions Invitational

Sunday, October 17, 1999, Cypress Bend Resort, Toledo Bend Lake, LA.

"Reaction Wacky's and Rinky Dinks, announced the winning team which had just finalized Toledo Bend's 4th Annual Tournament of Champions. "The Louisiana Team had fished Converse area mainlake ridges today to catch their final weigh-in which gave them a 10 bass/31.54 lb finish "and" the 1st place "braggin' rights" to the Champion Boat Owners TOC tournament on Lake Toledo Bend.

As fierce and un-predictable as Mother Nature can be at times, is as peaceful and un-predictable she can be as the predicted Cold Front, with its "blue bird" winds and chilling temperatures "stalled" long enough to allow for the 248 teams of Champion Boat anglers to recover their 2nd, and final, day of competition. Although todays final weigh-in at Cypress Bend Resort was to cut the bassin' time by 1 hour, with a 2:pm earlier deadline, the bass bite was still expected to provide some pretty interesting finishes for the teams who were struggling to win, "or qualify", for the top 13 leaderboard slots which would earn them a launch number for Champion Boats "Ultimate Challenge" to be held in the year 2000. And as the teams began lining up with their final efforts, the leaderboard began to mark those top 13 teams who would be going to the "Challenge"
