Indian Mounds Recreation Area in Sabine National Forest

The Indian Mounds Recreation Area is open for camping with a fee of $2 per vehicle for day use and $4 per night per campsite. A paved boat ramp is available all year for access to Toledo Bend Reservoir.

6/25/02 Update: Indian Mounds does not have any seasonal closing. It is completely open all year. Instead of 56 campsites, there are now 37 developed and 15 undeveloped campsites. Developed campsites have drinking water faucets nearby, portable toilets nearby, table, tentpad, trash cans, tilt back grill and lantern posts. Undeveloped sites are paved and mowed only. The camping area has a new boat ramp.
