Hodges Gardens

Splashed of nature's color... the simple pleasures of a family day in the country...dappled sunlight drifting through acres of forest... Hedges Gardens beckons you in all seasons.

Hours
Open 8 a.m. until sunset. Tickets sold until 4:30 p.m. daily. Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Admission and Other Rates
$6.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors; $3 for youths; free for five years and under. Active military is $3.25. Additional $1 discount for AAA members and military personnel. Season tickets are $20 for individual: $50 for a family. Call for group rates and guided tours.

RV Parking, Campsites, The Lodge, and Emerald Hills Resort
RV and campsites available. The Lodge is available for group reservations only. Emerald Hills Resort, across the highway from the Gardens, takes reservations directly (318)586-4661. Special Amenities and Activities Light lunches available from March through June. Gift Shop open year 'round. Picnic areas available for everyone. Fishing boats rented by prior reservation. Many areas accessible by wheelchairs, available in Gift Shop. Bicycling and mountain biking permitted. Wedding sites and informal meeting space available. Dogs on leash welcome. Call for information on seasonal activities, including the Easter Sunrise Service.

Specific flower attractions and/or peak blooming times vary each year.

Spring Season:
Camellias, Daffodils, Tulips, Dogwoods, Azaleas, Irises, Winter Honeysuckle, Saucer Magnolias, Wisteria, Hyacinths, Impatiens, Spring Annuals

Summer Season:
Roses, Daisies, Magnolias, Crape Myrtles, Hibiscus, Daylilies, Allamanda, Zinnia, Dahlias, Impatiens, Annuals and Perennials

Fall Season:
Roses, Camellia Sasanqua, Hibiscus, Chrysanthemums, Pansies, Ornamental Kale and Cabbage, Sweet Olive, Annuals and Perennials

Winter Season:
Camellias, Pansies, Ornamental Kale end Cabbage, Winter Honeysuckle

Although we strive for maximum color and display at all times, there will be periods of seasonal transition when new beds have recently been installed and/or beds have reached maturity and are about to be replaced.

It Is during these periods we ask for your understanding and recognition that all plantings do not bloom simultaneously and peak appearance is a short-lived reality.

Feel free to call us prior to your visit and we will be glad to update you on what's blooming at the time. We want your visit to be memorable and one that will make you want to return.
