Lose yourself in nature's splendor...

Toledo Bend Country is unique for a retirement area. Its 1,250 miles of irregular shoreline and 197,660 acres of clean, deep water offers the finest bass fishing in the nation year round and boasts a record 300.63 pounds of gamefish per acre. It is the largest man-made reservoir in the South and fifth largest in the U. S.

Hunting opportunities abound for deer, small game, ducks, and geese around Kisatchie National Forest's varying terrain of beautiful cypress swamps with hanging Spanish moss and sandstone hills of Longleaf Pine.

Sparkling like a jewel is Hodges Gardens, Louisiana's renowned 4,700 acre "Garden in the Forest". Its multilevel floral spectaculars, breathtaking greenhouses, and bird and wildlife sanctuaries offers a scenic wonderland for every visitor.

An 18-hole championship golf course provides excellent views of the reservoir from almost every fairway and accents a 400 acre Recreational Complex, complete with 100 room Hotel, fifty condominiums and two villas on a high ridge overlooking the reservoir. An indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, marina, and chapel are also included.
