Bass Unlimited Banquet

Just what exactly is a Bass Unlimited Banquet?

In recent years the TBLA organization wanted to have a way to raise more funds so we could continue to create and assist in improvement projects around our lake area. Ideas were tossed around and in 2002 the Bass Unlimited Banquet was created on paper by several key TBLA members as one possible way to raise funds on an annual basis. So in the spring of 2003 the first Bass Unlimited banquet was held at the Pavilion at Cypress Bend Park. It was rough going as the membership had no idea how the public would react to such an event. After all who wants to get together with 600 people to have a great time, outdoors on the shores of Toledo Bend while enjoy a pleasant steak dinner and be entertained by some fine local musicians? Let's not forget about having a chance to buy selected items in a silent or live auction during this dinner and possibly wrap up the night by winning a rafffle prize of a bass boat valued at over $16,000.00. Well it turns out everybody wanted to go to the banquet!

In 2006, we had our 4th annual Bass Unlimited Banquet and what a success it was. The Bass Unlimited Banquet is operated by a volunteer group of TBLA members with the help of outside sponsors. These sponsors donate raffle items, hours of their time and materials that help to make the banquet what it is today. There are hundreds of volunteers hours given by many TBLA members in the selling of tickets for our main raffle item, a new boat. It is through all the unselfish acts of the TBLA members, sponsors and the people that attend this annual event that makes this one of the high light events in the Toledo Bend lake area.

As always 100% of all proceeds are dedicated to the many worthwhile projects on Toledo Bend and your donations are tax deductible.
